The use of the Daffodil care needs projection system is subject to the following terms and conditions.


Daffodil is intended for use by local authorities, primary care trusts and other bodies who need to be informed about trends in the population of people in Wales. It uses population projections produced by the Statistical Directorate of the Welsh Government and prevalence rates from existing published sources. The data it contains and the copying and printing services it offers are designed to help understanding of future demand for social care.

When using Daffodil material in any published work, reference must always be made to the relevant system and to the Statistical Directorate of the Welsh Government as the source of the data. The licence to use the system does not extend to any third party use. Therefore, you may not, for the use by a third party, distribute, modify, copy, transmit, display, reuse, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, sell or otherwise use content without the Welsh Governmentís prior written permission.

The Data Protection Act

Information collected by the Institute of Public Care (IPC) and the Welsh Government will only be used for internal review, to improve the content of, to customise the content and/or layout of , to notify users about updates to and to contact users for marketing purposes. It will not be shared with other organisations for commercial purposes. IPC and the Welsh Government will only use such information for the purpose as described and will not pass on details to any other government department or third party unless you have given us permission to do so. You have a right to access your personal data and to rectify any inaccuracies.

Intellectual Property

The names, images and logos identifying Daffodil are proprietary marks of the Welsh Government. If you wish to use any of these logos, you must obtain prior approval from the copyright manager by contacting the Social Services Improvement Agency
